Today some of our female members from our senior squads headed over to Boorowa Ex Services & Citizens Club for their annual International Womenβs Day function and got to catch up with Olympic Champion Bronte Campbell! π₯°
So many inspiring woman with so many stories of how they have made it! But definitely the highlight of today was getting up close & personal with Bronteβs gold medal that she won as part of the infamous 4x100m womanβs relay team at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics π₯ ... See MoreSee Less

π Final Club Championships Night of this Season 10/03/23π
We are looking forward to our final night of Club Championships tonight, so please remember to get your entries in through Swim Central by no later than 4pm (tomorrow) Friday π
Entries after this time cannot be accepted and we are unable to accept entries on the night like normal club nights π
As a reminder, Club Championship nights are run a little different to our normal Friday night club nights as they are classified as approved, sanctioned Swimming NSW events and we will have approved SNSW Technical Officials in attendance.
We are required to have 2 timekeepers per lane as the times are official times and are recorded on the swimmerβs record & these nights also determine who our club champions for each age group are for the season.
Can the following families please supply an adult to time-keep for the evening & have them report to the chief timekeeper (Peter Cockburn) in the club house at 5.50pm for a briefing:
Lane 1: Oakley & Davis (Annika)
Lane 2: Norrie/Hendy & Neilsen
Lane 3: Rathjen & Presser
Lane 4: Hall & McEvoy
Lane 5: Brodbeck & Wheeler
Lane 6: Webb & Brien
Lane 7: Davis (Angus) & Cummins
On the BBQ we have the Davidson Families (Sam & Tim) with the raffle prize being kindly donated by the Wheeler family.
Please also note some other βrulesβ that we are required to enforce given the status of the event:
βοΈ Warm up will be from 5pm - 5.45pm
βοΈ Start time is 6pm sharp
βοΈ Watches, jewellery and wristbands must be removed for competition
βοΈ There are rules around the type of swimwear allowed (swimwear with ties is not allowed. Boys are not allowed to wear underwear under their swimwear (or 2 pairs of swimmers) however, girls are allowed to wear period underwear under their swimwear)
βοΈ There are also rules around the wearing of strapping tape, bandages etc. If your child needs to wear tape or band aids for any reason, check with the referee at the start of the competition
βοΈ Please make sure that your swimmer listens for their race to be called and proceeds immediately to marshalling to have their names marked off and placed in their seat. Please note that parents are NOT permitted in the marshalling area
βοΈ Your swimmer may receive an βinfraction reportβ (more commonly known as a disqualification) if their stroke technique is not considered sound by the judge of strokes
We understand that some of the rules seem strange to people who are new to the sport, but these are the rules of our sport and on championship nights they must be enforced.
Our President Renee Williams will be on pool deck on Friday night so please make sure you approach her if you have any questions or concerns.
A huge THANK YOU goes to all our officials & volunteers - these nights would not be possible without the support that you show to our club!
Goodluck to all competitors!! β€οΈπ€π ... See MoreSee Less
